Leadership

A Team Of Caring Professionals

The Bair Foundation is led by a committed team that is passionate about delivering quality services to the families we serve.  Together, our leaders and board uphold the highest ethical standards as we work to make a significant difference in the daily lives of thousands of children and teens in our care.

Dr. Susan J. Miklos, Executive Director

Dr. Miklos has more than 30 years experience in child welfare and social services. She earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Bible; a Master of Science degree in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University, a Masters in Business Administration from California Coast University and most recently a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from California Coast University.

Dr. Miklos began her career at The Bair Foundation Child and Family Ministries in 1985 as a case manager. She quickly moved up to become the Ohio Placement Services Director and then was promoted to the position of Vice President. Since 1992, she has served as the Executive Director and has led the agency through an exciting period of expansion and change.

Under her headship, The Bair Foundation Child and Family Ministries has grown from serving less than 200 foster youth to serving over 5,000 children and hundreds of families in crisis each year.

Dr. Miklos is a licensed social worker and has served on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Council of Children’s Services, The Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services, and the Family Focused Treatment Association.

Every year, more than half a million children are the victims of abuse and neglect.

When these children enter foster care, we provide foster families with the support they need to turn tragedy into hope.
