In 2002, The Bair Foundation was accredited by The Council on Accreditation (COA), and re-accredited in 2006, 2010, 2014 and in 2018. COA accreditation attests that The Bair Foundation has met the highest national standards in delivering the best quality services to the community we serve. We join COA’s Community of Excellence that includes more than 1,500 public and private organizations throughout North America serving over a million children, families and adults each year. This recognition as a provider of high quality services is effective through September 30, 2022 and includes the following programs: Adoption Services, Case Management Services, Child and Family Development Support Services, Foster Care Services, Family Preservation and Stabilization Services, Kinship Care Services, and Outpatient Mental Health Services.
COA has revised the completion of the Maintenance of Accreditation (MOA) which moved the submission requirements from every to years to annually. This change is part of COA’s new benchmarking program, COA Measures, which contextualizes the performance of COA accredited organizations using benchmarks from peer organizations across the United States and Canada. This service collects and aggregates measures of organizational health and sustainability across 5 performance domains: Financial Health, Governance, Workforce Development, Quality Improvement and Risk Management. The Bair Foundation looks forward to seeing where we stand in relation to our peer organizations. We will be submitting our first annual MOA in August, 2020.
The Bair Foundation is currently in the Maintenance Stage of our 5th COA accreditation which was granted in August 2018. The PQI department will begin the application and self-study process of our 6th reaccreditation in the latter part of 2021.
